Quantitative and Qualitative Identification and Reporting of existing and emerging livestock and Aquaculture pathogens

It is well known fact that billions of revenue loss occurs year on year due to outbreak of various pathogens that affect livestock and aquaculture. Such diseases and outbreaks not just affect a nation economy but also the lives of millions of farmers and those below poverty line. Vertical and Horizontal transmission of pathogens between hosts is considered as a big futuristic threat (ex: COVID-19). Current rapid identification methods are restricted to selected pathogens and not pan microbial coverage. Existing methods does not satisfy Quantitative assessment of pathogens which is crucial for risk assessment. “At Theomics, we have developed and validated animal pathogen detection panel which in combination with Illumina MiSEQ deep sequencing platform will be able to accurately identify and quantify all known animal pathogens that include Bacteria, Fungi, Protozoa and Viruses. We believe this assay could be of significant importance in predicting outbreaks (Endemic and Pandemic) in poultry, aquaculture and livestock farms. We are expecting the cost for screening one patient / one sample to be as low as $79.
